About the job

You’ll spend the majority of your time building and updating wordpress sites. All our sites are fully responsive, and we pride ourselves in building high quality sites that allow the clients to update content themselves. Part of your work week will involve learning new skills, improving your current skill-set, as well as weekly meetings to virtually hang out with the team leader and other developers.

Skills

Essential skills (required):

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Basic PHP in a WordPress environment
  • Basic Javascript / jQuery
  • WordPress
  • Basic WordPress Theme Editing
  • Well-documented code

Soft skills needed:

  • Sound problem solving / troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Good command of the English language (verbal and written)
  • Can be innovative
  • You have a drive to learn

If you have these skills as well, you’d have a big advantage over other applicants:

  • PHP
  • Advanced Javascript / jQuery
  • WordPress Plugin Editing
  • GeneratePress Theme
  • WordPress Custom Post Type Creation and Use

So where are we and how do we work? Well...

  • We currently have 12 designers and 10 developers but we are growing rapidly.
  • Our Designers work from home and are scattered all over the Philippines.
  • Around 7 to 8 of our developers work in an office in Cavite, where they work from 8 am to 6 pm. The rest of the developers work from home during the night to cover US daytime hours.
  • The Leadership and Management team work from home and are scattered all over the US. Currently, we have around 45 team members.

Location

This is a remote position, so you can work from anywhere in the Philippines, but it would be a *huge* benefit if you live in Cavite area so that you can work in the office there and personally meet with our team leader on a regular basis.
