Who are you?

You’re a hacker – someone who has likely learned most of their development skills on their own and prefer it that way.  You love solving problems and creating websites and technical solutions for clients.  You want to continue to grow personally and professionally.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Solving technical issues related to our client’s websites and other web technologies.
  • Building and maintaining WordPress websites
  • Collaborating with our overseas development team in executing on development deliverables
  • Learning new technologies and softwares as needed to meet client’s needs
  • Building Shopify sites
  • Configuring pre-build softwares such as Zapier, Infusionsoft, Calendly, etc.
  • Writing scripts to solve problems when pre-build software doesn’t fit the use case
  • You will work directly with, and report to, our COO, who will be your personal mentor in this role.

Skills

The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Desire to learn and grow personally and professionally
  • Experience developing WordPress websites, including modifying themes and plugins
  • Experience working with databases
  • Experience working in Shopify
  • Great problem solving and debugging skills
  • Experience working independently
  • Strong ability to solve a diverse range of technical problems
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

Compensation:

$70 – $100k starting, depending on experience, with opportunities for growth.

Hard Skills:

  • WordPress – need to be able to do anything WordPress related, including modifying themes, plugins, databases, etc.
  • HTML / CSS – need a firm understanding of these two languages and ability to develop front end web pages as needed.
  • Javascript – need to be able to write custom scripts and modify existing code. 
  • Other web platforms – need to be able to quickly learn and use other web platforms such as Shopify, Clickfunnels, etc.
  • Web tools – need to be able to quickly learn and configure other tools such as Zapier, PlusThis, ScheduleOnce, Calendly, Infusionsoft, ActiveCampaign, etc 

Soft skills:

  • Autonomous – need to be able to work independently with little supervision or management
  • Ability to learn – need to be able to constantly learn and grow as we are always using new tools
  • Communication – needs to be able to have strong communication skills for communicating effectively with clients and other team members
  • Attention to detail – needs to have a strong attention to detail to deliver high-quality work.

We currently do not have a central office and all work remotely.  We prefer you are available to work 8am – 4pm PST, but this can be a somewhat flexible schedule. If you like to sleep in and work late sometimes, that’s fine — so long as the work is done. Need a few hours or a day off? Want to travel and work while away? No problem! — so long as you are succeeding in your position.
