One of the massive privileges of working with some of the biggest information marketing companies and Ecommerce brands in the world is getting to see the backend of everything that is working.
I decided to document some of the takeaways and share them in a segment I will be entitling Funnel Optimization Case Studies.
I will be going through pretty much any client that will let us share some of the takeaways from working with them.
In my opinion, Matt has mastered the art of reaching like-minded traders in an incredibly competitive niche.
He owns Certus Trading, which is one of the top online options trading information products. They have Information Products, and also software.
I always find it funny when people are selling financial information products, and a majority of their income comes from that information product. Matt is the real deal. He has been ultra-successful trading futures and options over the past 20 years, and he has done such a great job.
The biggest learning lesson we have from working with Certus is that you need to figure out your scalable marketing plan. Most industries have their issues, and in the financial space, it is in your marketing. It is challenging to use traditional cold traffic. They have done such a good job mastering affiliate relationships and other alternative traffic patterns.
We also learned less is more. Lots of people want to build a company with a massive team so they can tell you we have “30 employees!”. Matt will brag how few they have. He has a simple business model that allows for them to mostly automate their student acquisition process, which allows them to spend most of their time helping customers.

Why they came to us:
They initially came to us as Matt needed to focus 100% on his trading and his customers. He wanted someone to help him run their information product company.
- They needed someone to help them with their incredibly intricate infusionsoft campaigns.
- They needed someone to help them manage their application development.
- They needed someone to manage the membership site.
We have been innovating their membership sites and landing pages for the last couple years. Innovation has become key. Each year the company and products change and the marketing and delivery has to change as well. Simplicity is key.
